Turning water into wine is a phenomenon not seen for 2000 years - until this week! The Marino Grape Festival usually features a fountain of free wine, but this year a plumbing mishap redirected it to the domestic supply. Residents raced to fill buckets with the chilled sparkling wine. What the heck has this got to do with Thistle v Airdrie United you may ask? Well the question is,what would you prefer a constant supply of wine from your water tap or the Jags getting to the final of a Cup for the first time in 37 years. Lets all hope that we are all down the Tavern on Sunday night, changing the wine back to water.

The Jags will be without Jonny Tuffey who is on international duty,Gary Harkins who is suspended and Alan Archibald who is still recovering from injury, but the good news coming from Firhill is that Liam Buchanan may make a return on the bench.

Airdrie United who have Paul Giacomo and Simon Lynch in their squad are going to miss the presence of Marc Smyth and Kevin McDonald who are both suspended.Full back Matt Hazley is injured and will  also miss the game.
