Games are coming thick and fast for the Jags. On Tuesday they head up to Dens Park to play Dundee in a 2nd round tie of the Cooperative Insurance Cup.A win here could give us a game against the “Old Firm”as they enter the competition in the next round.

Thistle will be without Archibald, Rowson and Buchanan, although it seems Buchanan may be ready to return in the very near future. Its quite possible Lennon may also be missing as there seems to be some doubt whether clearance from Rangers has been given to allow him to play in a Cup-Tie.

Will Mr McCall ring the changes for this game to give some of Saturdays side a rest or will he go with the same team which reproduced the football of the Maryhill Magyars, who adorned the football stage at Firhill in the fifties.

At the end of the game will the Dundee fans be singing “up wi’ the bonnets o’ bonnie Dundee”or will the Jags fans be giving another rendition of”Gerry Britton is the king of Spain”heard at a previous famous cup victory at Dens, lets hope it is the latter.
