CIS CUP DRAW
The draw for the Third Round of The Co-operative Insurance Cup saw Thistle being drawn against Rangers at Firhill. This tie will give us the opportunity to gain some revenge for our Scottish Cup replay 0-2 defeat at Firhill last season. With a crowd of 9,909 having attended that match the game should provide the club not only with an entertaining derby match but a healthy pay day also.
All three current stands should be available for the match with the Jackie Husband being reserved for the home fans and the North and excellent main stand being utilised for the visiting support.
The whole draw is given below:
Dundee Utd - Airdrie Utd
Partick Thistle - Rangers
Motherwell - Hamilton Accies
Morton - Inverness C T
Falkirk - Queen Of the South
Kilmarnock - Aberdeen
Celtic - Livingston
Dunfermline - Saint Mirren
Dates for ties have been set for Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th of September.

BBC said last night they will be showing the game live on Wed 24 September. Let’s hope that doesn’t affect the gate too much, although presumably the TV money will come in handy.
