Thistle play host to Fife neighbors Raith Rovers this Saturday and with no sign of Steve Lovell on Maryhill Road, it looks like boss McCall will go with the team that gained an honourable draw against Ross County last week.
Rovers have massive injury problems for this game with Ian Williamson and Ian Davidson definitely out and Laurie Ellis, Darren Smith and Graham Weir very doubtful; also very doubtful is “smoker” Stephen Simmons. If Stephen makes an appearance, he will receive a very warm welcome from the Jags fans who remember his antics in a cup-tie at East End Park, while playing for his former club Dunfermline Athletic.

In complete contrast to the sterile 0-0 draw at Firhill a few weeks ago, this was a pulsating encounter played out in bracing weather before enthusiastic supports in a gladiatorial arena. Thistle fought back twice to equalise, but on the balance of play might have been the team more disappointed not to emerge with a win.

In a week when the B.B.C has invited Mr. Griffin to speak on Question Time, we see the launch of Welcome t o show “Racism the Red Card Fortnight of Action”. Let’s hope the referee on Saturday keeps his Red card in his pocket, well as far as the Jags are concerned anyway.
Jags travel up the A9 to Dingwall with more or less a full squad to pick from, only Paddy Boyle looks likely to miss the game.
Players of Ross County who adorned the Red & Yellow and some who nearly have are, Scott Boyd, Paul Di Giacomo, Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Craig

Jags go into this match looking to keep there excellent record at home and get over the disappointment of last weeks defeat against Dundee. Manager Ian McCall has almost a full squad to choose from.

On Saturday members of the Trust will again be in the Warriors’ shop in the Jackie Husband Stand (beside the entrance to section 6). We will have Centenary Fund application forms, pens and envelopes so people can sign up for this important fundraiser in a couple of minutes prior to the match starting. Given the recent comments of the Chairman on how the Centenary Fund played an important part in the Club’s ability to extend the contracts of 4 of our players and the manager’s desire to add to the squad now is an excellent time to join up - you will be making a positive impact on the Club as well as giving yourself the chance to win prizes on a monthly basis!
Also, we will have application forms for the Trust so that you can join up and give the Trust a stronger voice. You will also be able to register you interest in purchasing either a ticket or a horse for the Race Night that the Trust are running in the Aitken Suite on the 27th of November.
We look forward to seeing lots of you on Saturday (and the rest of the home games as well) and remember, as someone once said: You have to be in it to win it!

Here’s a new way to reduce your carbon footprint. A Japanese airline is asking passengers to relieve themselves before they board. The reason? Empty bladders mean lighter passengers and the aircraft uses less fuel. And we thought Ryanair were tight!
It may be worthwhile Jags fans relieving themselves in plenty of time before kick-off, just in case they miss a barrow load of goals. Hopefully all in the Ayr net.
With Martyn Corrigan and Stephen McKeown both featuring and coming through 90mins in the Jags reserve side in their 2-0 win against Stranraer on Tuesday night, it looks like only Paddy Boyle will not make squad for the game this Saturday, although Jim Hamilton left the field early with a leg injury in the same game.
Ayr have some injury problems for the game with our friend and foe Kevin James doubtful.Ayr’s new signing, 6′3″ Ryan McGowan who has joined the club on loan from Hearts, should play. Ryan scored on his debut in the 2each game against Dundee in midweek..

As Jags fans get ready to head for Dundee on Saturday, they will be asking themselves a few questions. Will I be able to stand up at the game? Can I cheer my team on during the game? Should I take bail money with me in case I can’t!
Ian McCall should have a near full squad to pick from, McKeown and Corrigan are doubtful.
Another question on Jags fans lips is Will GGH turn it on against his favourite team. The rumour sweeping round Firhill last Saturday was that he would not be playing, supposedly, coming straight from Jocky Scotts lips. We’ll see!
A new website has been set up to act as a sort of database of media for Partick Thistle FC. It’s designed to gather all the images, videos, text & audio, basically anything Thistle related, and store it all here in the one place.
It’s the fans that make Partick Thistle great and the site has been set up for the fans. If you support the Jags, please sign up and get yourself a profile. Even if you don’t want to share media you can still sign up and view other peoples, meet new Jags fans etc.

With the chance to go top and up against Airdrie, Ian McCall must have emphasized the importance of no slip ups in this game. With a blustering wind and some of the team still suffering from the virus that hampered their performance last week against Inverness thistle.
