When Casey Anderson got married this week he had his best friend Bruno by his side.”What’s strange about that?” Well, nothing, except Bruno is a seven foot grizzly bear!
Oh how the Jags could do with a 7 foot grizzly next to Liam on Saturday. We are in the last chance saloon now and a win is a must on Saturday.
Liam should start but may only last 60-70mins. Stephen Mckeowns injury is causing much concern and will not play and of course Gary Harkins is still suspended.
Airdrie United are in the relegation mire and will be fighting for their lives so we are in for a nervous ninety minutes with our eyes on the game and one ear on the trannie.
Get voting for your player of the year. We have two different polls currently running. The McGhee player of the year on the official site, and the Glaswegian newspaper vote. Front runners for the awards this year are Gary Harkins, Johnny Tuffey, John Robertson, and Paul Paton.
The Jags Trust player of the year dance takes place in the Aitken Suite at Firhill on Saturday May 2nd.

In what was a glorious day of sunshine that filled Firhill. Another glorious thing, Gary Harkins was unavailable for selection due to suspension, with Stephen McKeown unavailable because of injury, this posed McCall a selection problem with regard to his midfield. Simon Story filled the vacant midfield slot with Maxwell continuing in defense. Liam Buchanan made a welcome return to take a place on the bench.

Susan Boyle and Alistair Darling are the names hitting the headlines this week but will a Jags player top both of them with scoring a wonder hat trick against Livi on Saturday? Lets hope so.
Thistle go into this game without Gary Harkins who is suspended and Stephen Mckeown who is on the injured list.Unless there is a reaction to his injury over the next 24 hours, Liam Buchanan is expected to play or make the bench at least.
The Livi Lions have injury problems for this game,Murray Davidson,Dave MacKay, Rafae le Devita and Jason Talbot all miss the game.Chris Innes returns after injury and Leigh Griffiths will be in his usual place after being on trial with West Brom this week.
If the Jags show the same spirit that was on display at Greenock we all could be in the Tavern by half-time.

Here is the chance to help the Thistle youth team to 7 grand!

In strange overseas news this week a Saudi man was to busy to tell his wife he wanted a divorce, so he informed her by text message! Will Jags fans be too busy cheering the Jags goals going in, to text their stay-a-away pals on Saturday?
The Thistle are down to the bare bones again with more or less the same team which failed to ignite at home to Queen of the South last Saturday.
Morton has a full squad to pick from.

In a week where a man dressed as a Pineapple got mugged,a woman divorced her husband for cleaning too much and a Player got booked for “breaking wind” during an opponents penalty, has everbody gone crazy?Lets hope all Jags fans are going crazy down in the Tavern after Saturday’s game.
Liam Buchanan is rated as 50/50 to make the game but Stephen McKeown will miss the line-up on Saturday, but the rest of the squad are fit and ready for this important game.
“We have five cup finals left” “They wont come much harder than Thistle at Firhill” Just two of the comments from ex Jag Gordon Chisholm now Qof S manager. Reports say Queens are playing well but the defence keeps losing stupid goals. Where have I heard this before?
This is not going to be easy for the Jags, but if the team is given the same support as at Perth then this should see us through.

Spider-Man came to the rescue of a stranded child this week. The Thai eight -year-old coudn’t be coaxed off a ledge by firemen until one of them put on a Spider-Man suit The boy was so excited to see his favourite superhero he jumped into his arms.
Will Spider-Man come to the rescue of Thistle on Saturday? Will Thistle need him?
The good news for Jags fans is that Liam Buchanan is back near fitness and could play or probably start on the bench.
Roddy Grant has urged the current Saints team to take a leaf out the 1990 championship winning side and use this Saturday’s top of the Table clash as inspiration to kick on and win the league title.
Roddy Grant Thistle legend ? Not now Roddy!
Steven Kinniburgh has signed for St Johnstone on loan from Rangers and will probably make his debut against the Jags at left back.
