Thistle left Almondvale with all three points after a thoroughly entertaining ninety minutes packed with goals, honest graft, the usual smattering of misplaced passes and two moments of sublime genius. Add in the reappearance of Armand One, playing for the only club he’s ever wanted to play for, a bizarre pre match ritual involving buying tickets from a wee booth (where else would you have to do that?) and Signor Massone having one of his capos reading out an almost incoherent public statement (for whose benefit?) and you have a recipe for a great February afternoon that would otherwise be spent watching the egg chasers. Indian cricketers were sent running for cover this week when a helicopter pilot mistook their cricket pitch for a landing pad.The chopper landed suddenly on a giant “H” painted on the ground which was actually the symbol for the home team!
If you’re lost for somewhere to touch down this Saturday,then get your team colours on and head for Almondvale and cheer the “jags” onto victory in our push for promotion.
Ian McCall should have nearly a full squad to pick from,a few will be carrying injuries,but I am sure that will not stop them wanting to play to a game that can keep us in the hunt for promotion.
For the Lions, Chris Innes is suspended, which may cause a problem for Livingston to cover
